October 2026
About 20 of our members have recently returned from a wonderful few days at the Simonsbath House Hotel, Exmoor. We spent 3 days walking, under the guidance of Andrew, the most knowledgeable and accommodating host you could ever wish for. The weather was kind for October and the views and scenery as expected in that part of England. We will be returning next autumn, filling the hotel again for a great social walking break.
A team from St. John’s Ambulance service gave us a very informative session covering CPU and the use of a defibrillator. We hope never to have to use this newfound knowledge.
A curry evening on October 28th at the Tap and Tandoori is another popular social event that lets us all get together, without boots on!
2027 New Year lunch. A lunch is arranged for late January 2027 at the Porta Douro restaurant in Solihull. This will be our second visit, following the success of the 2026 event.
July 2027. An HF break to their new hotel in Buxton. The club has used HF for walking breaks for many years, with great success.
